Be prepared with your emergency food storage.By having these emergency food buckets close at hand you will have your food covered for that critical time in need. Who doesn't love breakfast for dinner? This assortment of Mountain House™ freeze-dried breakfast entrees are great tasting and easy to prepare. A simple 3 step preparation -1- heat up some water -2- add the hot water directly to the pouch -3- let sit for a few minutes and your meal is ready to eat.
Mountain House™ freeze-dried foods begin with a great taste thanks to over 40 years of development. The foods maintain their taste, texture, and shape of fresh frozen foods due to the freeze-drying process. In addition, freeze-drying locks in the freshness, vitamins, nutrients, color, and aroma of fresh frozen foods while providing the shelf-stable convenience of canned and dehydrated foods.
All the contents of a Mountain House pouch are freeze dried to allow for a 10 year shelf life. Mountain House has also tested the pouches 30 years after the manufacture date and they were still good to eat and safe but they prefer to communicate that they taste best if eaten in the first 10 years from date of manufacture.
